Meadowsweet Manor is the long and short-term care facility. With three levels of security, Meadowsweet Manor has a place for everyone. Maximum security is full lockdown and fully supervised at all times; medium security is locked at night, but during the day, patients are allowed unsupervised access to indoor facilites; minimum security is locked at night, but indoor access is unsupervised, and outdoor access is allowed under supervision. The building is non-smoking, however there are courtyards where patients and staff alike are welcome to enjoy a cigarette. | ||
![]() Manor/Main House Two beds per room; roommates are the norm, however, certain patients, on the advice of their doctors, are not allowed a roommate. Three floors allow a variety of security depending on the patient Accessible via private drive. |
![]() Bedrooms Each bedroom is equipped with two twin beds, two dressers, a shared desk, two lamps, a shared closet, and a door with an observation window. Windows to the outside are sealed closed from the outside, and covered inside with transparent plexiglass to prevent breakage. Each bedroom has its own bathroom shared between the two patients. Cleaning and linen changes are handled by staff. |
![]() Common Room High-Definition Television with basic cable. Channels are family locked, and is turned off an hour before lights out. A small selection of magazines and books are available, but most reside in the library. Most games and activities are held here. Common room is available to any patients from breakfast until lights out. Other patients may be allowed access after hours by doctor's permission. |
![]() Library The library is open 8 AM to 5 PM. Current librarian is Mr. Sam Page Books can only be checked out with the permission of the librarian. Patients under thirteen cannot check out materials at all. Internet is available in the library for medium and minimum security patients only. Internet is heavily filtered, and accessible only with a password. Password is librarian's discretion and changes daily. Internet privileges can be suspended at any time. |
![]() GYM Gymnasium is open to all patients and will be supervised heavily at all time. Physical therapy patients will always receive preference when with their therapist. Gym is open from 7 AM to 6 PM, and is never unattended. There is an Employee Only locker room off the gym. It includes lockers, two showers, drink and snack machines, and is locked at all times. Access is restricted to employees only and employees MUST swipe their badges to unlock the doors. |
![]() Cafeteria All meals are eaten in the cafeteria. Trays are only taken to patients who are unable to leave their rooms. Breakfast is at 6, Lunch is at noon, and dinner is 5:30. Between meals, to encourage healthy snacking, there is always a variety of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, and cold plates available. There are also drinks available in the cafeteria until lights out. Patients and staff are encouraged to mingle and have meals together, so that no one is excluded unless they choose to be. |
![]() Infirmary There are five hospital beds as well as four separate exam rooms. All patients will undergo monthly physicals; some will undergo physicals more often at their doctor's discretion. No patient will be allowed into the infirmary without an escort. |
![]() Grounds/Trails Biking and hiking/walking trails are both bicycle and pedestrian friendly. Minimum security patients are allowed supervised access; medium security patients are only allowed access with their doctor's accompaniment. Large shade trees are abundant, to allow relaxation, picnics, or quiet time. Halfway house residents and partial hospitalization program patients are also allowed access; halfway house residents are encouraged to help keep litter down as part of their stay. |
![]() Transportation Administration-provided transportation for day trips, outside doctor's visits, or any other errands. Bus is wheelchair accessible for patients who have physical challenges.
